She is a long-standing freelance writer and has contributed to Australia’s most significant Chinese language newspapers as well as other publications.

She holds a Bachelor Degree in English Language Teaching from Nanjing Institute of International Studies, a Master Degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and a PhD in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Macquarie University. She is an accredited NAATI Level 3 Professional Interpreter for Mandarin and English in both directions.
